What is NICKELSHIELD® electroless nickel plating?

NICKELSHIELD is a chemically deposited nickel-phosphorus alloy which is uniform, hard, corrosion-, and abrasion-resistant. The coating possesses many properties superior to or not associated with electroplated nickel, chromium, stainless steel, and other metals. The plating bath can be adjusted per customer requirements to target a specific phosphorus content between 8 and 12%.
